Be More You: How to be Yourself More, in a World that doesn’t want you to.
In a world where billions of pounds a year are made out of us not having a high opinion of ourselves, it can be difficult, almost painful to show up as YOU.
Sometimes we even struggle to find the answer to the question “who are you?”. We get lost under layers of stories and beliefs, under other people’s assumptions and judgements, and of course, under what society and social media dictate to us is acceptable.
I get it, it’s tough. I can’t say that with enough empathy. Believe me, in years gone by I have looked in the mirror and not recognised or liked the woman looking back at me. I have held off from making changes that I knew would make me happy and make my life better because I was worrying about what other thought. I have edited myself down and not spoken out because I have felt like an imposter.
“notgoodenoughitis” is a real thing, it’s an epidemic, and it is ruining the lives of millions of women. I know that’s true, because I suffered with it for over 30 years. All manner of projects, careers, dreams, books etc. aren’t coming to life because we are so caught up in the “enough” of it all. We dismiss that brilliant idea as quickly as we have thought of it. We don’t buy that dress because we aren’t skinny enough, we don’t take photo’s because we aren’t pretty enough, we don’t open our mouths because we aren’t clever enough.
Enough of the enough. Its bullshit. It’s so much to carry around isn’t it? Its bloody exhausting. It will continue to be exhausting, to drain you of optimism and joy, and to keep you stuck until you take a look at it.
That exhaustion means that we don’t try, we don’t have the energy for it. It’s all a bit too much, but I have news for you. Its far more exhausting people pleasing and pretending than it is being yourself.
There is a life for you out there that feels lighter, where things don’t jar as much, where you don’t feel trapped, and where you can show up as the woman you truly are.
So then, are you ready for something different? Are you ready to start feeling optimistic about the future? Are you ready to smile more and frown less? Are you ready to find out who you are and what you really want?
Well good then. Because I’m ready too. I’m ready to help a group of amazing women stop hiding, and to stop keeping themselves small.
I created this course specifically to look at all of this stuff, to unpick it, make sense of and find the truth in it, and then move on with focus and clarity. I want you to step into who you are with less self-doubt and a lot more self-belief, and a much higher sense of self-worth.
I won’t lie; this course won’t always feel easy for all of you. There will be questions that give you that ‘icky’ feeling from time to time. BUT, I promise you that the work is absolutely worth it. So much so that I get teary-eyed just thinking about it. The world needs more women in it who know who they are, and you’re going to be one of them.
When? Start date of Monday 8th October for 4 weeks.
Where? Online. With a private Facebook Group just for course participants, and nobody else.
How does it work?
- Each week I will go Live in the group at 8:30pm on Monday evening. These “lives” will be anywhere from 30 – 60 minutes.
- Even though the start date is 8th October, you can take the course at your own pace, and work it to fit in with your own timetable.
- There will be 4 different modules over the 4 weeks.
- A separate “Live” Q&A session at the end of the course.
- Every week there will be a workbook to go alongside each module for you to complete.
- Access to a private Facebook Group, where you can share your stories and experiences in the safety of smaller numbers.
- Lifetime access to the course, meaning that you’ll automatically receive any new material as the course evolves without any further investment.
This Course is not for you if….
You aren’t prepared to look at the stuff. Yes, its uncomfortable sometimes, but there is learning, knowledge and power in that space. Quite often we are where we are because we are avoiding discomfort at all costs. This group will be safe and supportive I promise.
If you think talking about feelings and emotions is a waste of time. I genuinely believe that all the answers we seek are inside us, and by thinking out loud and talking about our stuff, we see those answers swimming into focus. If that’s not your bag, then that’s cool.
You don’t want to be vulnerable. The likelihood is that it’s going to happen at some point. I could be mid-way through a “live” or you could be completing the questions in your workbook when you find yourself blindsided by a belief you didn’t even know that you had. That’s totally okay and part of the process.
This course is for you if….
You are tired of the way things are. Yes, you may well feel unsure, and anxious. You may well feel lost, invisible and shattered. During the course we’ll be looking at what’s going on for all of you and how we can minimise these feelings and forge ahead.
You can be open and honest. Its crucially important to me that in this type of group set-up, every woman that comes in is committed to acting from a place of kindness and support towards the other group members.
You are ready to invest in yourself. This is a real sticking point for a lot of women, who put themselves last and don’t see themselves as worth investing in. You really truly are, and this is a chance for you to get a powerful taste of just how great it is to do so. Amazing stuff starts to happen when you realise how valuable you are.

We’ll start by unpacking who you are at the moment. Why you think the way you do about yourself. This will mean looking at what we believe to be true and what is actually true. There is a huge difference. We’ll also be looking at societal pressures, what we saw growing up and how that has impacted on us.
Why comparison is a complete nightmare and a waste of time, plus the danger of scrolling too much. We’ll also be talking about the judgements that we feel and that we make against others without realising it, and why we can be our own worst enemies.
A dive into the world of the inner critic. Learn to recognise that voice of self-doubt, to acknowledge it and forge ahead anyway. The idea of “enough” will feature heavily in this week’s module. We’ll work on how we can start to be kinder to ourselves and let go of some of the guilt that we feel.
Now the fog is clearing, let’s take a look at who you would like to be. This stuff is pure gold as it allows you to think about you in a space that takes you out of your current environment. Let’s really focus in on how bloody amazing you truly are.
This final session builds upon all the previous work that we’ve done and will be a chance to look at what’s changed for you over the term of the course. How things have started to shift, what you have learnt about yourself, and what you are looking forward to the most.
Please note: Even though I have planned structure for the weekly sessions, I will also tweak them so that it reflects the needs of the group. You will still get amazing content and value, but our topics won’t be set in stone, and may change to encompass other areas as well.
